Plight Of Our Roads!

The frenzy shown by many of the departments to make city look good while the  Prime Minister visited Trivandrum was nothing more than a facade. Barely after three days with the first rain in 2010, the ’supposed to be quality roads’ were turned into deathbeds offering free tickets to heaven to any motorists that passed by. It’s so shameful that the possible lakhs of rupees spent for fixing the roads ended up good for nothing.  Take a look at the Sreekaryam – Kazhakootam road and this fact becomes crystal clear.

  1. Yes. A sad sight. Being the main gateway to Trivandrum, this is something which we need to clear first. The Japan water supply project and KSEB’s power cable laying process are which that made the road a hell now.

:) If things go well, even if we have to struggle a bit now, we are to get better water, clean power and more roads!

  3. since i started seeing the roads in trivandrum, this is the sight. pot holes, ditches and watter logging…….when i see a good road, my mind gets anxious….How long will it remain good to be used….
